Warranty

Two warranty levels allow you to customize your support solution

Upon purchase of the Maxwell® RSC 48 Instrument, the instrument will be covered by a one-year Standard Warranty. The Standard Warranty covers all parts, labor and shipping to and from our depot repair location as well as a loaner instrument upon request*. If your Maxwell® RSC 48 Instrument needs repair, we will provide packaging for shipment of the instrument back to our service facility. We will repair it and return it performing to original factory specifications. Preventive Maintenance service is available separately.

If you need additional coverage during the one-year Standard Warranty period, a Premier Warranty Upgrade is available. The Premier Warranty Upgrade includes all parts, labor and shipping to and from our depot repair location as well as your choice of a loaner instrument within 1 business day** or an on-site service visit by a factory-trained service technician within 2 business days**. Additionally, it includes one Preventive Maintenance service per year, which may be performed by returning the instrument to an authorized service center or by an on-site visit by a service technician. Additional Preventive Maintenance visits are available separately.

Service Agreements

Service agreements protect the Maxwell® RSC 48 Instrument for the long term

Upon expiry of the initial one-year Standard Warranty, we offer service agreement options to ensure continued comprehensive coverage for the Maxwell® RSC 48 Instrument.

The Standard Service Agreement covers all parts, labor and shipping to and from our depot repair location as well as a loaner instrument upon request*. In the event of an instrument issue, our Technical Services team is available by phone or email to troubleshoot and assess the situation. If your Maxwell® RSC 48 Instrument needs repair, we will provide packaging for shipment of the instrument to our service facility. We will repair it and return it performing to original factory specifications. Preventive Maintenance service is available separately.

The Premier Service Agreement provides maximum flexibility and minimizes instrument downtime. This agreement covers all parts, labor and shipping to and from our depot repair location as well as the choice of a loaner instrument or on-site service visit by a factory-trained service technician. In the event of an instrument issue, our Technical Services team is available by phone or email to troubleshoot and assess the situation. Where an on-site service visit is determined to be necessary, the Premier Service Agreement provides the choice of a loaner instrument arriving at your lab within 1 business day** or an onsite service visit by a factory-trained service technician within 2 business days**. Additionally, the Premier Service Agreement includes one Preventive Maintenance service visit per year. Additional Preventive Maintenance service is available separately.

Warranty and Service Agreements

Maintain the Maxwell® RSC 48 Instrument at peak operational performance

To maintain the Maxwell® RSC 48 Instrument at peak operational performance, we recommend that the instrument receives a Preventive Maintenance check after 12 months of use. During this procedure, qualified Promega service personnel test the instrument, inspect consumable components for wear and replace them as required. The technician then aligns the system and verifies performance, and provides documentation for inclusion in laboratory records. Return your instrument to an authorized Promega service center to receive Preventive Maintenance. Onsite service is available for an additional charge.

Additional Service Options

Flexible service solutions to meet your laboratory's requirements

For out of warranty service, or service outside service agreement coverage, we are happy to offer alternative support options, such as pay-as-you-go repair and Preventive Maintenance services for the Maxwell® RSC 48 Instrument. We can also assist you via phone or email at no charge. Please contact your local Promega representative or Promega Technical Services to discuss available options.

Promega also offers on-site operator training for the Maxwell® RSC 48 Instrument. A specialist can be arranged to visit your facility to train laboratory personnel on correct instrument operation, supporting new installations, staff onboarding, or internal certification and competency requirements. Please contact us to discuss how a training program may be tailored to your laboratory's needs.

The Installation Qualification service product includes a series of formal instrument checks, delivers written documentation of instrument functionality, and demonstrates that everything ordered with the instrument is supplied and installed at the customer's laboratory. This service product must be delivered by a Promega representative certified to perform the Installation Qualification and involves a site visit to perform:

  • Installation by qualified Promega personnel
  • Inspection of shipping containers, instrument and accessories
  • Comparison of items received against items on the purchase order
  • Inspection of laboratory conditions (power, etc.)
  • Review of all hazards and precautions with users
  • Confirmation/installation of correct software version
  • Instrument test run
  • Documentation of Installation Qualification

Operational Qualification (OQ)

The Operational Qualification service product demonstrates that the Maxwell® RSC 48 Instrument functions according to its operational specifications. This service product must be delivered by a Promega representative certified to perform the Operational Qualification and involves a site visit to perform:

  • Run operational verification tests
  • Document all calibration and test results
  • Train customer(s) to operate the instrument
  • Train customer(s) to use the log book
  • Complete Operation Qualification documentation
